OshSU Scholars Attend International Business Forum in Tajikistan
A delegation from Osh State University participated in the international business forum “ROST”, held in Khujand on October 29–30.
The forum, titled “Development of Agglomerations and Small Cities through Projects and Investments – 2026”, was organized at the Executive Body of State Authority of Sughd Region.
The delegation was led by Doctor of Economics and Professor Chinara Kulueva. It also included Doctor of Geographical Sciences and Professor Abdurashit Nizamiev; Doctors of Economics and Professors Timur Israilov and Inabarkhan Myrzabrailova; and Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor Kurmanbek Ismanaliev.
As part of the forum, participants attended the presentation of the international collective monograph titled “Prospects and Factors for Sustainable Development of the Economies of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan: Interregional Cooperation”. The publication is dedicated to friendship and strategic partnership among the three countries. Its preparation was prompted by the signing of the Declaration on Eternal Friendship and Strategic Partnership between Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan during the summit of the three countries’ leaders held in Khujand.
On the second day of the forum, participants visited industrial enterprises and cultural institutions in Sughd Region. These included a metallurgical plant (formerly the “Zarya Vostoka” Production Association), which produces lead, gold, silver and other products; a cultural center featuring an exhibition of traditional handicrafts and food; and the History Museum in the city of Istiklol.
The delegation also visited the Asia Politeks enterprise, located in the Sughd Free Economic Zone, where they learned about the production process of large-capacity bags.
