On November 2, Osh State University organized an informational seminar to improve students’ religious awareness and prevent religious extremism and terrorism.

The speakers included Samagan Myrzaibraimov, Director of the Research Institute under the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan; Erik Moldokulov, Head of the Da’wah and Outreach Department of the Administration; and Azamat Tairov, a representative of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The seminar covered state policy in the religious sphere, the preservation of traditional spiritual and moral values, and ways to protect against negative influences on social media. Participants also discussed preventing radical movements and developing critical thinking among young people. During the event, students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers from the speakers.

Informational and awareness-raising activities in this area will continue across all university departments.

The seminar was organized in accordance with an official letter from the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation and Osh State University's preventive activities plan for the 2026–2027 academic year.
