Monitoring of compliance with the laws on the state language and advertising is underway at the Institute of Economics, Business and Management of Osh State University. The monitoring also focuses on the proper use of the state language in official documentation.
The monitoring is being conducted from November 2 to 5 by a commission headed by Mastura Sharipova, Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Affairs at OshSU. The commission is reviewing the official documents of the institute's administration, Academic Council and subject-cycle commissions. Particular attention is being paid to ensuring that documents are written correctly in the state language and comply with established requirements.
The monitoring also assesses students' proficiency in the state language, reviews the Kyrgyz-language content of the institute's website and checks the condition of signs and advertisements in the academic building. In addition, as part of the “Be Literate” campaign, a dictation consisting of 180 words is being held to assess participants' writing skills.
The monitoring commission includes representatives of the Institute of Pedagogy and Arts, the Faculty of Kyrgyz Philology and Journalism, the Faculty of Russian Philology, and the Higher School of International Educational Programmes.
The initiative aims to monitor compliance with state language legislation, promote the proper use of the state language in official documentation, improve students' language proficiency and expand the use of the state language in the university's information environment.
