At the Ural Federal University in Yekaterinburg, Russia, the II Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Russia and Kyrgyzstan has begun. It is attended by the rectors of 60 Russian universities and 31 Kyrgyz universities. The event will be held on June 8 and 9.
On the first day of the forum, Osh State University rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov paid a visit to Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russian State University for the Humanities, where IM Sechenov signed cooperation agreements with the Russian Ministry of Health's First Moscow State Medical University, Vladimir State University, Ural State Economic University, Ural State Agrarian University, and Ural State Medical University. The agreement provides for joint education, scientific cooperation, academic mobility among students, undergraduates, graduate students, and teachers, as well as the organization of research trips, internships, and professional development courses, the invitation of leading scientists and specialists for guest lectures, the exchange of curricula, the implementation of research projects, and conferences.
The Union of Russian Rectors, Moscow State University, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, the Association of Higher Education Institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ural Federal University, and the Kyrgyz Republic's Ministry of Education and Science are hosting the forum.
The first forum took place in Bishkek in 2019 in conjunction with the IX Russian-Kyrgyz interregional conference.
