This year, the country’s universities will admit applicants who scored above the threshold points in the ORT, determined by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. Threshold scores will be determined after summarizing the ORT results.

“From 2020, admission to universities in Kyrgyzstan has been carried out through a united portal.edu.gov.kg. To participate in the competition, an applicant must enter the automated information system “Applicant Online” and register his/her ORT certificate and passport data. After verification, a message will be sent to the phone number specified during registration on ORT with a username and password to enter his/her personal account. Using a login and password, an applicant registers in an automated system, selects a university and a specialty. To register in the automated information system, one must attach copies of his/her passport or birth certificate, certificate of secondary general education or diploma of secondary vocational education, the title page of the ORT certificate. The originals of the marked documents must be handed over to the educational institution at the beginning of the academic year. In the competition for fee-paying study, the category of applicants is not taken into account. Only the number of points in ORT is important here. Benefits are provided for education on a grant, budgetary basis. So, beneficiaries include disabled people of 1-2 groups, orphans and those left without parental care, children of citizens who died during the Ak-Syi events of March 17-18, 2002 and the events of April-May 2010, citizens with the status of kayrylman (this year benefits are provided for 288 people). These applicants must attach electronic forms of the relevant documents when registering. The first round of admission will take place in mid-July (after July 16). In general, the admission of applicants involves three rounds. The schedule of tours, dates and times will be published in the information system,” notes the head of higher and secondary vocational education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Gulmira Abylkasymova.

78 universities around the nation accept applicants via an automated information system.

A total of 51,185 school graduates participated in ORT this year. The ORT had a 119.8 point average. Graduating students are now getting ORT certificates.
