Delegation from Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography is at OshSU
Svetlana Shvedova, vice-rector for international affairs of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography, Inna Ponomareva, head of the International Cooperation Department, Vladimir Golubev, a member of the International Association of Surveyors, and Gleb Zagrebin, dean of the Cartography Faculty, paid a visit to OshSU. The delegation met with the university vice-rectors, heads of structures and lecturers.
At the meeting, Svetlana Shvedova introduced the project, which aims to teach staff at the network university of the CIS member states in the fields of geodesy, cartography, cadastre, and remote sensing. In addition, they discussed the implementation of a joint educational program with the applied geodesy specialty of OshSU within the framework of this project, the issues of dual degree education, and the creation of a branch university of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography at OshSU. There were also negotiations in the direction of academic mobility, collaboration between lecturers in the fields of science and education, hosting joint conferences, and conducting scientific research.
"During the visit, the delegation will deliver a presentation on current research in the field of spatial data use to the academic astaff, students, and postgraduates of the Department of Natural Sciences, Tourism, and Agrarian Technologies"- stated Dinara Abjaparova, project coordinator.
