The chronicle of the Faculty of Russian Philology of Osh State University has been going on since 1939, from the day the Osh Teachers' (later - Pedagogical) Institute was founded.
At the origins of the Faculty of Russian Philology were such prominent teachers as I.P. Karaseva, E.N. Kurbatova, L.D. Pokolodny.

Over the years of its activity, the Faculty of Russian Philology has trained tens of thousands of teachers of the Russian language and literature, who successfully work in the system of public education and in other spheres of the social and political life of the Kyrgyz Republic and beyond.
Currently, the faculty is headed by a graduate of the faculty, Doctor of Philology, Professor Gulipa Arapovna Madmarova.
The faculty has a highly qualified teaching staff. 3 Doctors of Philosophy, Professors (K. Z. Zulpukarov, G. A. Madmarova, V. K. Sabirova), 20 Candidates of Sciences, 30 Associate Professors and Senior Lecturers, 4 Masters work fruitfully; 25 teachers are excellent students of education in the Kyrgyz Republic. 12 applicants are actively working on dissertation research.
The scientific works of Professor K.Z.Zulpukarov, the author and co-author of more than 200 articles and 8 monographs in the field of general and comparative linguistics, cognitive linguistics, lingua concept logo, comparative sinology, etc., has received universal recognition.
Professor K. Z. Zulpukarov is the founder of the scientific school "Comparative lingua-concept logo conceptual of Kyrgyzstan" and the new scientific direction "Linguo-ethnogenetic unity of the Altai and Sino-Tibetan peoples", registered in the Russian register of new scientific directions.
Actual aspects of modern linguistics and literary criticism are reflected in the works of professors G.A. Madmarova, V.K.Sabirova, N.M. Muradymov, Ph.D. and associate professors G.J. A. Yeshenova, Zh. A. Alymkulova, S. S. Seyitbekova, K. T. Turdueva, V. B. Surkeeva, D. A. Asanova, Y. A. Temirkulova, G. Zh. Bolotakunova, RK Ormokeeva.
Such experienced teachers, senior teachers as T. P. Appolonova, T. D. Dyikanbaeva, F. V. Akhmedova, D. A. Osmonkulova, B. K. Omorkulov, Zh. R. Toychueva, R. M Usmanova, Z. Ya. Miskichekova.
Faculty teachers are authors of monographs, textbooks, teaching aids, and programs. So, many textbooks have the signature of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic: "Russian language" (Osmonkulova D. A., Zhamshitova G. Zh., Mamytova G. Z.), "Russian language" (Primkulova B. M.), textbooks "Literary reading for 8 cl. Kyrgyz school "(Yeshenova N. A., et al.)," Russian literature for the 11th grade of the Kyrgyz school "(Yeshenova N. A., Muradymov N. M.)," A manual on the Russian language for students of Russian groups "(Bolotakunova G. Zh., Primkulova B. M.), the textbook "Russian language" (Bolotakunova G. Zh.), Etc.
It should be noted the works of Associate Professor Nelia Khamitovna Bekmukhamedova, who made a significant contribution to folklore, in particular, to the study of the pearl of Kyrgyz folklore - the epic "Manas", is the author of the monograph "Evolution of female images of the epic Manas", co-author of the first textbook on manas studies, monograph "Epic" Manas ": Problems of topics and vision oа topics (structure, functions, symbolism)" (2018), etc.
A number of teachers were awarded certificates of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Osh State University, Osh Regional Administration, and Osh City Hall. Professor NM Muradymov and Associate Professor TP Appolonova were awarded the badge “For special services to Osh State University”.
OOP goals:
Goal 1. Training of qualified specialists in the field of Russian philology, capable of successfully working in the field of education, possessing universal, professional competencies that ensure social mobility and stability in various conditions of familiarizing young people with world culture and educational integration processes.
Goal 2. Training a teacher of the Russian language and literature with psychological, pedagogical, organizational, managerial and research skills.
Goal 3. Formation of cultural and moral values, professional and ethical responsibility, critical thinking skills, self-realization and self-education throughout life.
