Draft resolution on allocating budgetary places for studies in colleges

On April 18, the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic "On approval of the list of specialties and the number of budgetary places for admission to vocational secondary education organizations for the academic year 2023-2024" was put up for public discussion.

For the 2023-2024 academic year, 4 thousand 131 budget places will be allocated for admission to vocational secondary schools. Currently, there are 154 vocational secondary schools in the republic, of which 48 state vocational secondary schools are financed from the republican budget.

According to the information of the authorized body in the field of employment, there are often differences in the needs of personnel in industry, mining industry, agriculture, healthcare and education.

In the distribution of places in other sectors of the economy, the data provided by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration on the needs of personnel for the period of 2023-2027, the number of contracts concluded between secondary vocational schools and employers were taken into account.

Distribution by ministries:

Ministry of Education and Science - 2301 budget places;
Ministry of Health - 1335 budget places;
Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy - 435 budget seats;
Ministry of Transport and Communications - 60 budget places.
