Osh State University student wins regional WorldSkills championship

Nargiza Zholdoshbai kyzy, a third-year student at the Industrial Pedagogical College, secured the top spot in the regional competition for professional skills, WorldSkills, held at Osh State University’s educational and production complex on December 26.

The event featured participants from colleges and professional lyceums specializing in “Fashion Technology”. The competition evaluated skills such as creating stylish clothing, sketch preparation, design aesthetics, and tailoring technology.

A total of 51 educational institutions, including 9 colleges and 42 vocational schools, participated in the contest. The top 8 institutions from the regional championship will advance to the national level, with winners having the opportunity to compete internationally in Lyon, France, from September 10-15, 2024.

The championship aims to train skilled professionals in alignment with current labor market demands and promote vocational professions through regional, national, and international competitions. Nurabidin Marazykov, the director of Industrial Pedagogical College, received appreciation for the high-level organization of the championship.
