A double degree in physics to be implemented with the Eurasian National University
Dr. Aziza Altaibaeva, associate professor of the Department of General and Theoretical Physics of Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev in Astana, Kazakhstan, visited Osh State University. They met with Abdygany Abduvaliyev, director of the international relations department of OshSU, and discussed bilateral cooperation.
The scientist who came at the invitation of Maral Oskonbayev, associate professor of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering of OshSU, met with the faculty and students of the department of experimental and theoretical physics.
The last topic of the meeting was a double degree issue. Starting from the 2023-2024 academic year, 510400 physics majors in the field of physics of condensed matter at OshSU will be accepted on a budgetary basis (Eurasian National University will provide $200 scholarship and an accommodation) to the Eurasian National University. Students will spend their 1st year in OshSU and continue it at the Eurasian National University.
The implementation of activities in the direction of creating a joint curriculum between the two educational institutions and issues of academic mobility of undergraduate physics students were also discussed.
