Zholboldu Alibayev is 75 years old
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Zholboldu Alibayev, a meeting called "The voice of Kyrgyz is like the voice of Zholboldu" was held at the Department of Kyrgyz Philology and Journalism.
A photo exhibition showcasing Zh. Alibaev's life and work was presented in the first section. In the second part, students play his musical compositions.
Attending the ceremony, Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov remarked, "You have been contributing greatly to Kyrgyz music and folk. You popularized the lovely komuz melody, traditional Kyrgyz music, and gave it a new color. You are enhancing the national treasury and giving Zhenizhok, Barpy, and Toktogul's songs a second life.
