What students say about the student mobility program

13 OshSU students have participated in the academic mobility program at Cumhuriet Sivas University during the autumn semester of the 2022–2023 academic year. Four of them are students of the Higher School of International Education Programs. Today, we discuss their academic mobility experiences.

Fourth-year student Ali Erkinbai uulu is enrolled in the department of integration of Turkic-speaking countries.

I studied at Сumhuriet University from September 15 to December 30. I settled in the private hostel "YurtPark" in Sivas. Sivas is a forested city surrounded by mountains. The city center is a 15-minute walk from the hostel. There were a lot of international students. It was very interesting for me to get to know them, to tell them about our country and culture. While talking with them, I improved my knowledge of English and Turkish.

I didn't have any problems because the subjects were similar to those I was studying at OshSU. Courses were held before noon and in the afternoon, depending on the subjects we chose. After courses, I prepare in the library, which is stocked with all the necessary materials and books. In my spare time, on holidays and weekends, I had the opportunity to visit nearby cities.

We were given the opportunity to tell about Kyrgyzstan and OshSU through the monthly cultural evenings that were arranged for students from various nations. We prepared national food, performed our dances, and sang music of our country.

My internship at the "Alva Donna Exclusive 5*" hotel in Antalya is already complete. Internship in Turkey was a big step for me.

I want to thank our rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, the director of the Higher School of International Education Programs, Dilmurat Tursunov, and lecturer and coordinator Ainura Dosueva for creating such wonderful opportunities that provided students with lifelong learning opportunities.
