Osh State University branch opens at Eurasian National University
The Osh State University branch, the center of the Kyrgyz language and culture has been opened at the Gumilyov Eurasian National University in Astana.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan Dastan Dyushekeev, Osh State University President Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, deans of the faculties of Osh State University Nurmamat Turganbaev, Gulipa Madmarova, Rakhat Sagyndykova, Head of the Department of Kyrgyz Literature Abdymitalip Murzakmetov, Rector of the Eurasian National University Erlan Sydykov, faculty and students of ENU attended the opening ceremony.
The main goal of opening of the Osh State University branch at ENU is to jointly train specialists in the two fields of higher professional education; translation studies (English language) and Russian language and literature.
Along with this, in the future, it is planned to expand joint educational programs in the areas of natural science, physics and IT technology. Students for the first 2 years will study at Osh State University and the next 2 years at ENU.
The Osh State University delegation headed by the OshSU president Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, met with the rector of ENU Erlan Sydykov, vice-rectors and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.
Earlier, the Eurasian National University branch was opened at Osh State University. Currently, over 30 students are studying at the center of the Kazakh language and culture.
