Osh State University is undergoing the independent institutional accreditation
The expert commission of the independent agency for accreditation and rating (IAAR) began its work on accreditation of Osh State University. Accreditation work will take place on May 15-16, 2023.
The head of the international expert commission is Yury Belykh Eduardovich (Belarus), Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, expert of the 1st category.
Members of the commission met with the rector of Osh State University Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov and got acquainted with the thematic presentation on the activities of Osh State University.
In accordance with the accreditation program, the commission will conduct interviews with the rector, vice-rectors, deans, heads of structures, heads of departments, social partners, graduates and university students. Along with this, they will hold meetings with working groups on self-assessment at faculties, heads of departments and get acquainted with the relevant documents.
“In 2018, Osh State University was one of the first universities in the country to pass institutional accreditation for a period of 5 years. In connection with the expiration of the term, we undergo the following accreditation, which is mandatory according to the laws of the country. Prior to this, the team was preparing for accreditation, we gave self-assessment of our work, corrected shortcomings. Today, an independent international expert commission of the IAAR began its work. Based on the results of the work, the commission will provide its assessment of the state and level of the university, the fulfillment of the tasks facing the educational institution. Within the framework of institutional accreditation, 6 educational programs will also be accredited”, said Meilikan Altybayeva, director of the education quality department.
The Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating of Kazakhstan (IAAR) is considered an organization included in the special register of accreditation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
