OshSU lecturers are at the seminar of the "Good Nutrition" project

 A 3-day seminar entitled "Nutrition and anemia issues of women and children, early development of children in pre-medical education" has started in Osh. Taasilkan Jumabaeva, vice-rector of Osh State University for distance education technologies affairs, 21 lecturers of departments of obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and family medicine of the OshSU Medical Faculty are participating in the said seminar.

During the seminar scheduled for May 18-19-20, the participants will be given information on  "The importance of 1000 days of a child's life", "Nutrition of children under six months and the importance of breast milk", "Recommended feeding practices for children between six months and one year old", "Women in the Kyrgyz Republic and nutritional status of adolescent girls", "Nutrition throughout the life cycle", "Causes of anemia and measures to reduce anemia", "Prevention and treatment of anemia in children", "Prevention and treatment of anemia in women of reproductive age".

The initiator and organizer of the seminars is USAID's "Good Nutrition" project. The Good Nutrition Project is a multi-sectoral nutrition project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which focuses on improving the nutrition of women of reproductive age (15–49 years) and children under the age of 5 years.
