Student Ombudsman elected in OshSU

Osh State University Office of the Student Ombudsman held elections.

103 delegates from the university’s faculties and colleges participated in the elections. Preparation and administration were handled by a commission, which was led by Bakyt Turdubaev, vice-chairman of the professional union committee at Osh State University. Turgunbai Aldakulov, editor of the Didaktika newspaper, and Ulanbek Kalbaev, deputy head of the university’s security service, served on the counting commission.

The candidates for the role of student ombudsman presented their plans and responses to questioning from the delegates.

As a result, Mairambek uulu Bayastan, a student of the faculty of MIT, was elected as the Student Ombudsman by a majority of votes.

It should be noted that the Office of the Student Ombudsman at Osh State University was established on December 10, 2007. The Student Ombudsman is elected for a two-year term. The Office of the Student Ombudsman ensures the constitutional, academic rights and freedoms of students.
