10th Inter-university regional student Olympiad at OshSU
The research department arranged and hosted the 10th inter-university regional student Olympiad on May 27, 2023, at Osh State University. Ruslan Arappayev, vice-rector for scientific affairs at OshSU, declared the Regional Olympiad open and wished the participating students from seven academic institutions luck.
More than 500 students and responsible instructors from seven educational institutions in the southern region of the republic (JASU, IU, ITEI, KUIU, OshTU, OshSPU, BATSU) participated. Vice-rectors for scientific affairs, heads of science departments, and responsible instructors also attended.
In contrast to the previous year, OshSU students did not compete, thus the Olympiad for them will be held separately from the competition, and the results will be made public.
The Olympiad was planned to spark students’ interest in in-depth study of a subject as well as to encourage participation in creative and scientific endeavors among undergraduates.
The Olympiad’s winners were determined, placing 35 students in first, 35 students in second, and 35 students in third. 1-2-3 degree presents and diplomas were given to the finishers.
Osh Technological University received the torch for organizing the subsequent 11th inter-university regional Student Olympiad.
