The “Vit'oss” student team from Osh State University's medical faculty joined the international surgery and morphology olympiad held at Novosibirsk State University. Ultimately, they proudly clinched second place among 14 competing teams.
These students conducted animal surgeries using laparoscopy and executed various wound treatment procedures. Nusratullo Umarov, a 6th-year student, stated, “We tackled intricate surgeries and attained commendable outcomes. Our gratitude goes to Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov for the financial backing and the chance to participate in this olympiad.”
“For two consecutive years, we've engaged in this olympiad, testing our skills. Our focus was on showcasing our expertise through unique surgical practices. Feeling the thrill of victory was invigorating. This whole experience has been incredibly enriching for us,” mentioned Zhaynagul Orunbayeva, a 5th-year student at the medical faculty.
