Pioneering Treatments for Pancoast and Stomach Cancer at Osh State University Medical Clinic
For the first time in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan, a patient diagnosed with Pancoast cancer underwent thoracoscopic upper lobectomy surgery. This surgery was successfully performed by Professor Zhanek Belekov, head of the clinic's surgical department, along with Professor-surgeon Mukhamedali Matkalikov from Bishkek and surgeon Arstan Nazarmamatov. The clinic reported that the patient's condition remains stable.
In January 2023, the Medical Clinic at Osh State University performed its first surgery on a patient with stomach cancer.
Currently, the clinic within the educational institution is equipped with advanced medical facilities, allowing for the performance of various surgical procedures.
