The Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies at Osh State University, Professor Abdurashit Nizamiev, and the Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Geography, Industrial Economics, and Tourism, Guliza Momosheva, recently visited several Armenian universities. These include the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, Yerevan State University, and the National Agricultural University of Armenia. During their visit, the Osh State University representatives examined the facilities, educational conditions, research activities, and international project accomplishments of the Armenian universities. They also engaged in discussions about fostering collaboration.
Professor Abdurashit Nizamiev remarked on the distinctive architecture of Armenian higher education buildings, which reflects the Soviet era and is constructed using a unique stone that has become a symbol of the country. This visit marked the beginning of Osh State University’s connections with Armenian universities, and they expressed their intentions to further develop these ties. Additionally, the delegation had the opportunity to visit Lake Sevan, a notable natural attraction in Armenia. The trip, which took place from January 8 to January 13, 2024, was part of the concluding seminar for the Erasmus+ project titled “Development of Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Educational Programs and Strengthening Research Spheres in the Field of Geographic Information Technologies in Kyrgyzstan and Armenia” (GeoTAK).
