To address traffic congestion and bolster road safety in Osh, a new parking facility has been inaugurated on the grounds of the “Ak-Buura” campus at Osh State University. The parking lot is designed to alleviate traffic issues and enhance the safety of all road users.
“The previously neglected area has undergone a comprehensive transformation, featuring newly asphalted surfaces, including a dedicated bike lane. Sidewalks have been meticulously paved, and one side of the square has been revitalized as a lush green space. Today, a modern parking facility with a capacity for 300 vehicles has been meticulously prepared and is now open for public use,” noted Kudayberdi Kozhobekov, the Rector of Osh State University.
The construction of this modern parking facility commenced a year ago and was generously financed by the university. This parking lot is now available at no cost for faculty, and students from various faculties and colleges within Osh State University situated in the specified area, as well as for city residents visiting the medical clinic and mosque.
