Highlights from the III Forum of University Vice-Rectors on the State Language

Osh State University recently hosted the third Forum of University Vice-Rectors, which centered around the theme “Challenges in Advancing the State Language in Higher Education Institutions.” Throughout the forum, participants delivered presentations addressing various aspects, including challenges, achievements, and enhancement of the state language within university environments.

In recognition of their noteworthy contributions to the development and refinement of the state language, both Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov and Vice-Rector for the State Language and Social Affairs, Mastura Sharipova, were honored with the prestigious “Kyrgyz Language” badge by the National Commission on the State Language under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Furthermore, Kanybek Osmonaliev, the Chairman of the National Commission on the State Language under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, was bestowed with the distinguished title of “Honorary Professor of OshSU.”

Presently, 98% of official documents are conducted in the state language, and Kyrgyz language proficiency is maintained at a professional level through its inclusion in the curriculum. Assessment of Kyrgyz language proficiency is also integrated into student admissions and graduation processes.
