An international scientific and practical conference titled “Preservation of Aboriginal Horse Breeds: Problems, Future, and Role in the Development of Tourism” was held in the Aravan district as part of the 85th anniversary of Osh State University. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies at Osh State University, in collaboration with the Duldul-At public foundation and the Aravan district administration in the Osh region.

Participants included scientists from Kazakhstan, Korea, China, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, local authority representatives, and employees from various institutions and organizations.

During the plenary and sectional sessions, discussions were held on improving local horse breeds, studying their genetic origins, developing horse breeding, protecting historical monuments featuring images of Dawan (Heavenly) horses, and conducting relevant scientific research. The conference also considered the creation of a special museum, a scientific center, and a tourist base to support these initiatives.

Abdurashit Nizamiev, dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies, stated that new scientific and practical directions were established in cooperation with the local government of the Aravan district.
