International Day of the Chinese Language at OshSU
The Kyrgyz-Chinese Department of Osh State University devoted to the International Day of the Chinese Language held a festive, career guidance event "Open Day", participants were teachers, students, over 500 schoolchildren from 15 schools in Osh, 22 schools in Osh and Batken regions and heads of Chinese companies.
Schoolchildren and guests got acquainted with the department, with the conditions of study, witnessed a large exhibition of Chinese culture and a concert program prepared by teachers and students.
The Kyrgyz-Chinese Department prepares specialists in the areas of Sinology, Linguistics and Philology. Currently, 28 graduates of the faculty work in Dubai, 20 in Russia, one in the USA, and three in China. Also, 10 graduates of the department after advanced training work at Osh State University.
The United Nations selected April 20 for Chinese Language Day.
